In Nigeria, the health sector has been significantly affected by poor governance, leading to deteriorating health outcomes for the population. This study investigates how the effects of bad governance are communicated within this vital sector, highlighting key gaps in communication strategies that exacerbate the challenges faced by citizens.Despite the critical role that effective communication plays in public health awareness and policy implementation, various gaps exist. Firstly, there is a lack of clarity in communication from government officials regarding health policies, creating confusion and mistrust among citizens. Secondly, the media’s portrayal of health issues is often sensationalized, focusing on crises rather than ongoing challenges, which fails to generate constructive dialogue about governance accountability. Additionally, grassroots voices and local narratives are frequently overlooked in mainstream health communication. This absence hampers efforts to address specific community needs and experiences, leading to a disconnect between policymakers and the populace. The methodology adopted for this study was qualitative research, utilizing in-depth interviews and focus group discussions to gather insights from health professionals, policymakers, and citizens. This approach allows for a nuanced understanding of the communication landscape and the lived experiences of individuals affected by governance failures in healthcare. By illuminating the intricacies of how the effects of bad governance are articulated, this study aims to propose strategies for improving communication in the health sector, thereby fostering greater accountability and enhancing health outcomes for Nigerians.

This study investigates research trends in Lawrence Venuti’s translation theories by conducting a panoramic analysis of scholarly literature from the CNKI and Web of Science Core Collection databases (2000-2024). Employing the CiteSpace visualization tool, it maps the intellectual trajectory of this field within international scholarship. Departing from previous studies often confined to single cultural contexts, this research innovatively constructs a crosscultural comparative framework. On the horizontal dimension, co-occurrence network analysis and cluster mapping are used to dynamically trace the evolution of core international debates, including the foreignization/domestication dichotomy, critique of the translator’s invisibility, and resistant translation strategies. On the vertical dimension, the study deconstructs the unique path of the Chinese academia, driven by cultural self-awareness, in creatively adapting Venuti’s theories to construct a ―Chinese School‖ of translation discourse. Through this dual perspective of diachronic investigation and synchronic comparison, the study not only reveals the paradigm reconstruction of Western postcolonial translation theory within the Chinese context but also, leveraging the burst detection function of knowledge graphs, prospectively identifies emerging research fronts. These include the reconfiguration of translation ethics in the age of artificial intelligence and the cross-disciplinary integration of digital humanities with translation studies. This research paradigm, which integrates big-data bibliometric analysis with critical theoretical inquiry, provides theoretical support for building a translation theory system with cultural agency and opens new methodological pathways for innovating the practice of Chinese literature translation within the global context.

Background: The different levels of teacher morale across elementary schools deserve particular attention, as they have important implications for students’ engagement, behavior, and academic outcomes, as well as for teachers’ job satisfaction and emotional well-being. Objective: This study aimed to explore the influence of teacher teaching commitment on their morale in Catholic elementary schools in Merauke, South Papua, Indonesia. Method: We utilized a survey research approach to obtain data from a total of 95 Catholic elementary school teachers in Merauke, South Papua, Indonesia. Obtained data were analyzed statistically using a simple linear regression analysis by employing Statistical Package for the Social Sciences version 25. Findings: The results of data analysis reveal a positive and significant effect of teacher teaching commitment on their morale in Catholic elementary school teachers in Merauke, South Papua, and Indonesia. Implication for Practice and Research: The findings highlight the need for school leaders and education policymakers to foster teacher commitment through supportive work environments, professional development opportunities, and recognition of teachers’ contributions. Strengthening teachers’ commitment may enhance their morale, which in turn can positively influence student outcomes and the overall quality of education in Catholic elementary schools.

This study examined the influence of education, age, gender, and marital status on work ethic among Ghanaian professionals. Using a quantitative cross-sectional survey design, data were collected from 370 professionals across various sectors, including education, healthcare, finance, public administration, and engineering. Structured questionnaires measured respondents’ demographic characteristics and dimensions of work ethic, including diligence, discipline, and motivation. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent samples t-tests, and multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed that age, education, and marital status significantly predict variations in work ethic, with older, highly educated, and married professionals exhibiting higher levels of conscientiousness, discipline, and commitment. Gender, however, did not significantly influence overall work ethic, suggesting that male and female professionals demonstrate comparable professional behavior in Ghana. The study underscores the importance of considering demographic factors beyond gender when promoting ethical work practices and offers insights for designing policies that enhance professional productivity, fairness, and employee engagement in organizational settings.

This paper examines the application of process-oriented consciousness versus resultoriented consciousness and possibility-oriented consciousness versus fact-oriented consciousness in Chinese film subtitle translation, using "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" as a case study. It analyzes how these four forms of awareness function in translation practice and their effect on translation quality. By establishing a theoretical framework and examining concrete examples, the study highlights the significance of these conceptual pairs in subtitle translation and suggests relevant translation strategies. The findings indicate that appropriate use of process-oriented consciousness and result-oriented consciousness, along with possibility-oriented consciousness and fact-oriented consciousness can significantly improve the accuracy and fluency of subtitles, thereby enhancing the viewing experience and deepening the audience’s comprehension of the film.

In the era of globalization and growing interdependence, regional and international integration has become an essential component of state development strategies. For the Republic of Tajikistan, located in a strategically important area of Central Asia and possessing significant hydropower and natural resources, integration serves as a key factor for ensuring economic progress, national security, and international recognition. After independence, Tajikistan adopted a foreign policy centered on balanced cooperation and mutual benefit, as defined in the *Foreign Policy Concept of the Republic of Tajikistan* (2015) [1]. The country actively participates in major regional projects, such as CASA-1000, enabling the export of over 40 billion kWh of renewable electricity annually (World Bank Report, 2023) [2]. Tajikistan’s role in regional organizations, including the CIS, SCO, ECO, and OSCE, demonstrates its commitment to strengthening security, economic cooperation, trade, and environmental sustainability. Scholars highlight the significant role of Tajikistan in regional energy, water diplomacy, and security initiatives [3,87; 4,56; 7,58; 9,45]. Furthermore, Tajikistan contributes to global integration through active cooperation with the UN, WTO, World Bank, and other international institutions, solidifying its diplomatic standing and fostering sustainable development [10; 11]. This article analyzes the role of Tajikistan in regional and international integration processes, emphasizing its strategic geopolitical position, multidimensional foreign policy, and contribution to regional stability and global initiatives.
