Mughal-e-Azam is a magnum opus to Indian cinema, a landmark of cinematic excellence that goes on to map the course of Indian film history with its release in 1960. Directly from K. Asif's (Karimuddin Asif) vision, the film tells a story of love set against the Mughal court, transcending to include the ethos of cultural, social, and political India in the post-colonial period. This research paper critically examines the multifaceted influence of Mughal-e-Azam on Indian cinema as regards. Its historic significance, novel techniques of storytelling, and superior production values. It analyzes how the film reshaped the genre of historical epics and set benchmarks for further cinema-making while incorporating and portraying the socio-political climate of its time in an exceedingly reflective manner. The research further explores how Mughal-e-Azam continues to make its mark among the contemporary audience, inspiring not only filmmaking but also reworking the larger socio-cultural environment of India. The paper attempts to comprehensively focus on this legacy that stays as one of the current icon milestones in Indian cinematic heritage in both historical and cultural contexts.

This study investigates the landscape of annual reporting practices by Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) to the South African Department of Social Development (DSD). Focusing on the motivations, challenges, and compliance levels of NPOs, the research aims to improve reporting effectiveness. Through qualitative research methods, including interviews with DSD officials, this study uncovers that well-established NPOs with DSD funding demonstrate better understanding and adherence to reporting obligations. Challenges in financial statement preparation and record-keeping were identified, with compliance varying between government funded and non-governmental funded NPOs. The study emphasizes the importance of updated report templates, support mechanisms, and transparent communication between NPOs and the DSD. Furthermore, it addresses the implications of recent amendments to the NPO Act, highlighting the need for comprehensive awareness campaigns and education in the sector, particularly regarding money laundering and terrorism financing risks. The study offers actionable recommendations to enhance NPO reporting practices, fostering transparency, accountability, and effective social development outcomes

: The paper examines the role of the United Nations as a guarantor of global peace and security, and the changing landscape of conflict in Africa in the 21st century. Africa as a continent, since the beginning of the 21st century has been plagued by a complex and diverse plethora of socio-economic, political and environmental challenges that constitute a clog in the wheel of economic development and political stability. From the findings, the study reveals that of the fourteen ongoing UN peacekeeping operations globally, seven are presently ongoing in Africa. The study further reveals that most of these conflicts are resource-based conflict arising over economic alienation, unequal distribution of wealth, competition for power, and climate change arising from resource depletion and population explosion. The study observes that some of the challenges facing the United Nations Peacekeeping operations in ongoing conflicts in Africa are multidimensional and calls for swift ranging reforms. Such challenges include the role of the host state, terrorism and counterterrorism, sexual abuse, and human rights violations by peacekeeping troops, inability of troops in protecting civilian population from genocide and state sponsored violence. The study also reveals that the multi-polarity of actors who recently intervened in African conflicts such as Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Turkey etc. do not have any strategic interest but rather a destabilizing role should be of serious concern to the stability of the continent. This is because the prospect of resolving such conflict through diplomacy and multilateral peacekeeping operations using the United Nations, regional bodies such as the African Union, ECOWAS, AGAD, SADDC etc. becomes a herculean task. The study therefore, recommends that the UN rules of engagement in conflict prevention and management be reformed, so as to ensure that peacekeeping troops who are found guilty of committing heinous crimes such as sexual assault, rape, indiscipline, murder, should be prosecuted by the host state where the crime was committed.

A review paper serves as a critical synthesis and evaluation of existing research, offering insights into the state of knowledge in a specific area. Beyond summarizing literature, it identifies gaps, critiques methodologies, and highlights trends to provide a holistic understanding of the topic. This paper explores the dual nature of review writing, combining scientific rigor with artistic expression to produce impactful and engaging scholarship. The scientific aspects focus on systematic methods for literature selection, evaluation, and synthesis. Writers employ critical thinking to assess the credibility, relevance, and methodologies of sources, ensuring their conclusions are grounded in reliable evidence. Structuring the review logically—with clear sections like introduction, methodology, discussion, and conclusion—is vital for maintaining clarity and coherence. Systematic approaches, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and adherence to citation standards reinforce academic integrity. On the other hand, the artistic dimension emphasizes creative presentation. Synthesizing diverse viewpoints into a cohesive narrative, maintaining logical flow, and using engaging language are essential for readability. Striking a balance between technical precision and accessibility ensures the review remains informative yet approachable. Writers bring originality by offering unique perspectives and contextualizing findings within broader academic narratives. This paper underlines the importance of crafting review papers as both scientific endeavors and artistic expressions. Effective review writing involves critical evaluation and thoughtful articulation, providing readers with a comprehensive yet engaging resource. Such papers guide future research, facilitate understanding for newcomers, and foster progress in rapidly evolving fields.

This study investigated the quality of academic contents and staffing situation in B.Sc Biology Degree Programmes in universities in North–Eastern Nigeria. Two specific objectives, two research questions and two corresponding null hypotheses guided the study. Correlational research design was adopted for the study. The target population for this study was 1,950. The sample size is 195. Multi-stage sampling procedure was adopted for the study. The instruments used for data collection in this study were a questionnaire and checklist. Cronbach Alpha method was used to determine the internal consistency of items of the instruments. The reliability coefficient of 0.87 and 0.84 were obtained for the questionnaire and checklist respectively. Descriptive statistics of Mean and Standard Deviation were used in answering the research questions. Inferential statistics of Pearson Product Moment Correlation was used in testing the null hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The findings revealed that there is a moderately significant relationship between academic content and the quality of Bachelor of Science Biology Degree Programmes in Universities in North-Eastern Nigeria. The findings revealed that there is moderately significant relationship between staffing situation and the quality of Bachelor of Science Biology Degree Programmes in Universities in North Eastern Nigeria. Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended that; University Administrators in conjunction with Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) should source fund in order to provide adequate number of the recommended teaching resources in addition to the existing ones in order to effectively blend academic content and the quality of Bachelor of Science Biology Degree Programmes in Universities in North-Eastern Nigeria for improved economic development. This paper critically investigates the complex interrelationships that exist between corruption, democratic governance, and underdevelopment in Nigeria's Niger Delta. Even after democracy was established in 1999, there are still ongoing socioeconomic problems and escalating levels of militancy in the Niger Delta region. This study investigates the relationship between democratic government, militancy, and underdevelopment in the Niger Delta, using a qualitative research methodology based in political economy theory. This theory highlights how, in post-colonial situations, political institutions, economic policies, and social outcomes interact. The study is important because it examines how democratic processes have worsened underdevelopment and encouraged militant activities. These mechanisms are beset by systemic corruption and inefficient policy execution. The article examines the political and economic mismanagement that Nigeria's democratic system entails, and its findings reveal the government's shortcomings in attending to the concerns and demands of the Niger Delta populations. It reveals the methods by which elected officials subvert development money and prolong poverty by abusing democratic structures for their own personal gain using a thorough case study approach.
