Abstract:
: This study explores the evolution of information consumption in the digital age,
highlighting the transformative impact of technology on media habits. The study begins by
tracing the transition from traditional print and broadcast media to digital platforms, highlighting
the role of the internet and mobile devices in reshaping audience behavior. It examines key
trends, such as the rise of social media as a primary source of information, the decline of print
newspapers, and the increasing proliferation of multimedia content. The study also addresses the
implications of these changes for journalistic practices, including the challenges of
disinformation and the need for adaptive strategies in the dissemination of information. By
synthesizing the findings of various studies, this study aims to provide a comprehensive
understanding of how digital advances have influenced audience engagement with information,
the role of algorithms in content curation, and the changing expectations of consumers in the
contemporary information landscape.
